Something to Talk About

Just wondering if the rest of you would think the same thing that I did... so penny for your thoughts on this room.

  1. I like the room. But I don't like the bust on the windowsill. I would always think it was someone peeking in the window!

  2. Whoa. The dude on the window sill is creepy. Looks very peeping Tomish.

    Otherwise, I love the room.

  3. My immediate thought was it is a room that looks like someone that is well traveled and likes to read in bed. Interesting pieces around the room and the bed looks ready for a nice nap. I did not think anything about the bust in the window until I read the others comments. I just thought it was an interesting piece. So What are your thoughts, Miss Vicky?? Kathysue

  4. The bust in the window immediately freaked me out. If it wasn't there it would look like a very comfortable room.

  5. Love the room - hate the bust! It's too lifelike... but I could definately have this room in my house.

  6. Yeah, the bust would have to go.

  7. No offense to the others who like it ~ but my first thoughts when I saw it were "cell-like".

  8. I laughed at the peeping Tom comment! I like the bedding...but thats about all, the mirror and bust bother me! Come say hi :D

  9. WHEW! Wish I could make my bed like that every morning! But can you imagine waking up in the middle of the night with THAT silhouette in the window!?!? (Insert psycho music here)

    AAAAAAAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!!!

  10. I find the room too made up. The bed looks overmade, if there is such a thing. There are many styles going on but I find them cold and unwelcoming. The person who lives here just might be a "stuffed shirt!"

  12. I'm with everyone else. The bust is a bit odd. Wish I could see more of the room.

  13. Hi! I like the nook the bed sits in, I like the color scheme, the mirror is a tad distracting and like everyone else (unless the bust is someone in the family) it's a little creepy. Can't tell if there is a window covering ... but would like one in this room. Even a sheer.

  14. Yes, that bust is seriously sinister. Other than that I don't particularly love the room, but don't hate it either. The only thing I notice is that due to the shelves the bedsides are quite far forward which could be a bit awkward. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

  15. What's not to like? It looks like the bedroom of someone who likes being surrounded by things they have collected. The bedding looks nice and fresh/clean. It's not cookie-cutter.

  17. I didn't notice the bust in the window until someone pointed it out. I did notice that the window had no draperies and I love draperies in a bedroom, to softens it. I like the monochromatic color scheme, the books and the mirror.

  18. That bust situation would scare the living daylights out of me. Not even kidding.

  19. Would like to see more of the room. I can't tell if it's a bedroom I would like to get comfy and relax in or not. Like the mirror and the bust caught my eye. That's all I'll say about that! Vicky is this trick question? Because I am almost afraid to say more! lol

  20. You guys are always thinking I am going to pull one on you...lol I would not ever do that. I think it is a odd photo, the bust was the first thing I saw when I saw the picture. I can only imagine getting up to use the bathroom late at night...Other wise, I like the little bit that one can see in the image. Thanks for everyone insight... when some say that they did not even notice the bust and me, like so many others, found it to be the first thing that we saw... it is fun to get each person's take.
I am keeping my little tater bug a few days each week and I am finding less and less time to blog. Please forgive me if I don't always visit. I am doing my best to just keep posting. I love all your comments. My commenters have always been the best part of my blog and I can not say thank you enough!

  21. "I shall not cast judgment" until I see the rest of the room.

Speaking of casting....I'm wondering what that dude who is creeping everyone out is cast in. (Bronze, Plaster of Paris or ???????) -Brenda-

  22. I don't understand the angle of the photo. Very claustrophobic. I noticed that first, then the peeper. I hope this is just one of several photos in a layout that showed the room from a better, more informative angle. Nothing to learn here (except: don't put a bust on your windowsill!)

  23. Clean fresh sheets...I could sleep here!

  25. looks lovely. a little masculine, sort of a cross between a library and a guest room. what is your impression?

  26. I don't know- it does nothing for me.

  27. More color on the bed, more pillows...and I would move the creepy bust from the window!
