No...you weren't cleating...besides the pictures are wonderful and isn't that the whole idea. I just got a new camera too and I am having lots of fun with it even though I don't really know what I am doing. (-:
Stop by and see me sometime. http://laviequotidienneeverydaylife.blogspot.com
Vicki, Leah is a beauty. The last photo in black and white with her walking is the BEST!!! I have thought about taking a class but was afraid it would make me want to spend monies on new equipment. You will have to let me know how it goes and who knows maybe I will take one too!!! Good for you!! Kathysue
Can you help it if she was the prettiest 'thing' in town?
You've quite an eye, my friend. Not only is the subject quite attractive, but the backgrounds bring additional charactar to each shot. Do I detect a new profession?
oh wow..i checked your blog at the perfect time! what kind of camera did you get? and will you keep us updated on what your learning? i cant afford the classed yet..but im excited about taking pictures..sharing your experiences will be so encouraging to me personally! thanks and good luck to you!!!
How can you go wrong with your subject, Vicky? You picked a very pretty one. Your pictures turend out really good. Your teacher will be impressed for sure..Christine
You're doing great! And no it's not cheating! It's called thinking creatively! I'm sort of envious...I wish I'd take the time to take a photography class! Have fun!
Well, your beautiful daughter could be a professional model but still...you weren't cheating! Your arrangements and shots are great. I am just starting to look around for a new camera...can I ask what kind you are using? Have a great Sunday! :)
Leah is a beautiful girl. Millie is so cute, too. I'd love to follow your photo journey. I have wanted to take classes, but need a new camera and don't know where to start. Fun, fun, fun.
Thanks everyone for all the sweet comments. I brought a Canon Rebel. I asked around quite a bit and it kept coming up as easy to use and doing a great job. So far I have to agree, but there is still so much to learn. Few things that I have learned so far... the first question you should ask when taking a photo is, "Is it moving? How fast?" Setting the shutter speed to stop movement, is very important. Never use a flash if your subject is more than 20ft away, or closer than 4ft. What's not in the photo is as important as what's in it. And my favorite... KEEP IT SIMPLE! LOL I must admit most the things in class are over my head, but maybe with time it will become easiler. I am enjoying the ride and will take you with me .
I'm so glad you got that Canon Rebel. I have one too and it has brought me such joy. I had no idea that I would love photography like I do. Your daughter is beautiful! Love that last photo of her walking down the tracks. Quite artsy!
Hi Vicky, Nice pictures! Your daughter makes it easy for you though. You can't go wrong with a pretty model. You said I should raise my headboard... I had to laugh. It's sitting up on paint cans! The plan was to hang it as high as possible on the wall. Havn't gotten around to that yet. That's because I can't do it by myself. Grrrr... I may re-think it though and add some kind of riser to the legs and then just lean it. My thinking was right there with you. LOL Kelly
Good for you, what fun! Curious, were you using a tripod or other stabilizing surface or just holding your camera?
Please, pretty please pass along your top 3 tips! I am still very much a novice but I love experimenting with my Nikon. Camera movement is my worst nemesis.
Your daughter is beautiful! And you photo's look great already! I to bought a new camera and start classes in Sept. Should be fun! Looks like you had a great time so far. Yay for you!!!
Kudos to you in enjoying a new hobby. You have a lovely daughter and her dog is awfully cute too. What type of dog is "Millie"? Have fun in this new venture.
Thanks Naz, Millie is a Russian Bolonka. I know, you have never heard of it, I had not either. She was a resue dog from S.C. we drove 12 hours and paid $500 for her... worth every penny! lol
Thanκs , I've just been looking for info approximately this subject for a while and yours is the greatest I have discovered till now. However, what in regards to the conclusion? Are you certain about the supply?
