I have a down -filled pillow at the end of our bed for one of my pooches. They also have two beds in the man cave , where they can lay in the sun. I love the texture of this doggy bed.
This adobe would be great for a dog that loves to be where the action is . . . out of the way, close to the door and my guess is, in the kitchen.
Doesn't get any sweeter than this, "Jackson", or his bed. I may get my son -in- law to make one of these. I once seen one made with a upside down table, so cute . . . I wish I had that photo to share.
This dog has his own "Man Cave", so fitting for the mud room and the dog matches the decor in color and breed. Loving his art . . .
This is where I found my other pooch this morning . . . she did this herself with no help. LOL Yes, she is always in our bed, sometimes we have them both . . . I would not have it any other way. I don't mind a bit if I smell like "puppy love".
Is your puppy a fortune telling swami? LOL!
ReplyDeleteA week or so ago, I posted some links on how to make fancy pet beds out of tables and old chairs! Come for a visit!
I don't have a dog right now but if I did I have a feeling they would be sleeping on the bed!
ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest post! Your dog is too precious all wrapped in the blankie! My dog Sophie has a bed in the family room and one in the den and of course the big king size bed in our bedroom. She used to sleep on the couch on top of as many pillows as she could push down. But as she has gotten older and can't jump down I got her the beds. She still likes to get on the couch from time to time and then barks at me to get her down. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Denise
I love this post! Your baby is so cute all wrapped up in her blankie! My baby sleeps with us too. I wouldn't have it any other way! He started something new: now he must be next to me at all times. Right now he is wedged in next to me in a one butt chair. He can't be comfortable, I'm sure not! But he is next to me and we both like that! haha

Your dog and my dog could be friends. He makes the funniest little blanket cubbies. Fun post!
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh. I love these photos! My Jack Russell is basically wherever she wants to be! Having said that, there are a few pieces of furniture that are fairly new so she needs to lay on a blanket if she gets on them. She doesn't mind ;). At night, she sleeps at the foot of our bed. She loves to snuggle, so I really can't picture her going for a separate bed. Or maybe it's ME who needs to be trained?
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed! Have a dog around, set up a great sleeping area. I love the very last one in the mud room.
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely adorable:) Ours sleep in our room with us, along with our cat too. Our cozy little family.

Room: Agreed (on the comment you left on my blog) :) *high five* I have 2 furry babies. The 70lb lab is Mr. Whimsy's baby and my 9lb poodle mix is my baby. He is quite funny, quirky, precocious, and hates the cold ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! The Chihuahua and the 3 lb poodle rule the bed at our house! They let me sleep with them and Mama! We wouldn't have it any other way!
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed this post and hearing about all of your dogs. My babies are going on 15 years old. They are doing great, the female has some hearing issues now, but they are as active as ever. I am a firm believer in "Blue Buffalo" dog food! I think it has made all the differance,in their overall health and their coat, no one can believe how old they are.
ReplyDeleteYour pup is too cute! Our Westie, Jake has a bed right next to our bed. My husband doesn't like him in bed because Jake wants to snuggle up close and he makes him too warm. He is a cutie too.
ReplyDeleteaww your furbaby is so sweet and I love that dog bed in the first picture. Our cat has a little bed on the foot of our bed, she is old so our furbaby koby doesnt get on our bed at night as he will torture her. He has a bed of his own on our floor and on that bed is a big stuffed bear he curls up with, he also has a bed in our living room right beside my chair. At times we will also find him sleeping on the sofa or the chair in the living room, he is very spoiled. Love this post.

We have a new two legged baby so our four leggeds are quite upset at the turn of events that has ousted them from our bedroom. :( Poor dears.

Oh so cute...our Meg would snezze looking at that photo...no pets for us! Hope this finds you well! x0
ReplyDeleteYour pooch is SO cute! I don't have a dog, but if I did I would like to have something like the next to last image. That "dog den" is just wonderful! I love the art on the wall, too.

Hi Vickster!!
ReplyDeleteLong time no chatty! *winks* Your little cutie is adorable all covered up in the blankies! And she did that by herself?! Awww too cute! And that little Jackson has a nicer bed than I do... Actually nicer than MOST people...Lucky dog!
I'm doing a blog giveaway over at my place and it features a piece that maybe could make a nice puppy bed? Come say hi if you get a chance. :oP Vanna
Oh my goodness I loved this post. Love love love the doggie man cave! haha. Our doggies each sleep with my daughters, right in their beds. :)
ReplyDeleteOur English Bulldog, Oliver, has the family room couches to choose from (as well as the leather ottoman). His legs are too short to climb our stairs, so he's happy there.
ReplyDeleteOccasionally, he'll snooze on the dog-bed on our mud-room's heated floor.
I have a picture I came out to our rec rm and our lab mix ( labbullia) lab and english bull dog mix. She had taken the blanket and wrapped herself somehow like a mummy. You could see it was a dog covered in a white blanket with her whole outline head to toes. I quickly got the camera and took a picture. Where does she sleep, wher she pleases she then expects when she is cold to climb in our bed. She wakes us with a whine and we give in. Not spoiled by any means :) When the grandkids come to stay she hogs the bed on them.
ReplyDeleteVickster it was SOOOO GOOD to hear from you!! I'm so sorry girlfriend if my comment mislead you! I feel terrible! And you came up with a ton of amazing ideas too! If you want it bad girl I'll sell it to ya! *winks* It's one weird piece. But it would make the most elegant dog bed ever! And it's the perfect size for that baby of yours....just sayin'. I purchased it as a stand for my Christmas tree. And it worked pretty well for that. Anyhoo I will be re-opening my boutique out of necessity! Did you see my swedish chairs by any chance? They reminded me of you. They're very elegant and rustic at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI can't fit one more thing in my house!....It's starting to look like Hoarders! *winks*....I wish I were kidding.
And you brought my score UP over at RMS my friend! But even if the dang thing went to one star (I hate that site too!) I wouldn't care. Nobody goes there anymore, and my stuff is so far back in the archives you'd need a "needle in a haystack" mentality to even find it. I was so sad to see that that you'd removed your pix. But that's ok I'll just come here and beg for more of your home shots....You know how I feel about that dining room of yours *winks* It's STILL one of the best I've ever seen.
Ok I'm going to play catch up and see what you've been up to lately..... Vanna
Lovely couches and beds for pet dogs!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! My little pup used to sleep under the covers at my feet, but I could not ever get a good night's sleep! So back she went to her bed on the floor next to me and then around 5:30 am I let her up and under!
ReplyDeletexo
Vickster just saw that you said you wanted to do a piece on me?? Girl you can do whatever you want!I'm honored you'd even consider it! Vanna
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteIt is not so much as where our Miss Molly sleeps as it is the positions she sleeps in. Sometimes not very lady-like at all. :) Also, I must admit her favourite spot is a settee located in our Solarium which I believe she thinks she owns. -Brenda-
ReplyDeleteYour dog looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou asked about my dropcloth upholstered chairs...we did wash the fabric first. Also, thought I should mention that the chairs still look good, but they only get occasional use. I don't think I'd use the dropcloth on something that was going to be used on a daily basis.
I love these pics, and love little Jackson's bed! Your little one is adorable wrapped up so cozy in the blanket.
ReplyDeleteMy sweet Bentley sleeps with me at night, but has several little beds throughout the house to choose from during the day. I have been keeping my boyfriend's dog a lot lately since he works out of town. She also sleeps with me against his wishes! I just love dogs sloop much!
Have a great weekend, Nicole
I meant soooo much! My iPad swapped my word, LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks guys for all the sweet notes. I knew my blog family would have to be dog lovers. I feel sorry for people that have never known or loved a dog... they know not, that they know not.
ReplyDeleteI think your pup has the right idea!!
ReplyDeletenew follower. would love a visit back. Our dogs have what we call condos... wicker siding with pitched attics- great for storage.

I have to say, your blog needs to be one of the best written blogs that I have learn in a protracted time. What I wouldn’t give as a way to put up posts which might be as interesting| as yours. I guess I will have to continue studying yours and pray that someday I will write on a subject with as a lot wisdom as you have.
