  1. Personally I LOVE it! The textures in particular are wonderful and the colour palette is extremely soothing. The latter being perfect for the space. -Brenda-

  2. The perspective of the photo may be deceiving but it seems like the space is narrow - so that perhaps the beautiful sofa should have been on a smaller scale.

  3. I think it is beautiful. I wouldn't mind if it was my bedroom.

I love it too. And it does not follow my personal rules. I guess that is what I found so interesting about the space. The sofa is large with a print and to top it off it is also BLUE. The balance is a bit off, but it does not matter... love the texture and the fact that it is not gray and white. I think it is wonderful.

  5. I would move the side table with lamp to the other side. I also feel as though the sofa is competing with the bed. .it just seems to be a bit much.

I really like the arrangement of the framed photos.

  7. Oh, I really like it! I think it feels like a real, lived in room, in a real home. I like that it is not perfect and looks like they are using furniture that has ben collected over the years...just my thoughts:)

  8. I love it, I will take it. I love the pops of orange, it is not a color I can live with, but it looks amazing in this space. The beige and blue complement it very well.

  9. The room is too small for a love seat. Maybe the bed should be on the other wall and make the side tables larger. Just a thought.

  10. I practically live in my bedroom, but have never been a fan of a sofa at the foot of the bed. Do people really sit on a sofa instead of lounging on the bed? But I would love to have a French settee in my bedroom - just not at the foot of the bed.

  11. I have the notion that every bedroom needs a sofa. I think it is very European, and I also love overscaled pieces. Drama is more important, and sometimes, I think you just need to do something outlandish with scale. It is tricky, though... Mirrors and Chandeliers are two other things that I think are better too big than too small.

  12. I'm in love with everything. The color on the walls, ceilings, couch, etc.

  13. Well it is inviting. My first thoughts were the love seat is too large for the room and I think small chests or night stands would be better. Yet there is something inviting about the room. It seems real and not big budget - maybe using what one has...

  14. I love the scale of the black and whites above the bed and how they seem to be falling into place like a game of Tetris; the arrangement seems to draw the eye up to the 'black and white' beams and ceiling-- making the room larger than it really is.
I also like the blue and orange of the settee and how it draws you to the bed and is connected to the blue in the head board and the orange flowers on the nightstand... Inviting you in!

I'd Rest for a month of Sundays there- no problem, LOL!

  15. The balance feels off. Love the settee but having all the color at one end of the room?? Perhaps different artwork &/or a throw pillow, to give more color flow, because the flowers are an after thought IMO. I also hate the right side bed table(?)for the same reason. Matching no, but equal in presence, yes.

  16. Ditto what Alicia said. Balance is off.

  17. I really like it a lot. I LOVE the rug and ceiling height! So textural. I'm not much of a blue fan so I'd change the color of the settee. Vanna

  18. I agree with Rebecca's comment. Personally I don't care for the loveseat in front of the bed.

Lovin everyone's insight on this space. As I have already stated, I love the room, but why is the question... it breaks so many of the rules, scale off, balance off, blue patterned monster sofa, traffic flow ect. But somehow , for me, it works ! Thanks everyone!

  22. I love it. Love the beamed ceiling, the sofa at the end of the bed, the heavily textured carpeting and even the colors. It's all good!

  23. I really think it is done very well, I think the angle of the shot makes the little sofa look a bit over scaled, but I can tell it is the perfect size for the space. I like it!! KS
