Photography Class Photos, pt. 2

After a couple of hours "Downtown "we were told to go to an old "Homestead" in town for the 2nd part of the field trip.

Leah and Millie went home. So I could not cheat here . . .

However, I managed to find another model.

We meet tomorrow to compare our photos. I can't wait to see what the others got. I took my photos to get them printed today. I had them on a USB stick. I had never printed from one of those and asked the girl at the counter to help me . When my photos came up she said, "You can't print professional photos without a copyright ." I could not believe it!

  10. Wow, you are already a professional! I think you are discovering a hidden talent you didn't know you had.
I just started a photo journal blog today. Just a place to post my amateur photos (because I'm not professional yet!).

  12. Hi Vicki...

Oooh...what fabulous photos, Girlfriend! Of course, I had to go back and take a peek at Part I about your photography class! Leah certainly was a most beautiful subject for your photos that day! I loved the last photo...the B&W of Leah with Millie...simply gorgeous!!! Now for Part II! Loved what you chose to shoot...that old log house is awesome! Vicki, that is sooo awesome what the lady at the photo store said about not printing copyrighted photos!!! They really are that good, my friend! Thank you for sharing them with us! You know, since I have been blogging, I have become very interested in the photography part...maybe more so than the actual decorating! I am hoping to get a new camera one of these days...of course, I would probably have to take classes as well...just to learn how to use it! HeHe! Have fun, my friend...and keep us posted!

I do hope that my note finds you and your sweet family all doing well! It's been awhile since we've visited...sorry about that! I am finding that Blogland is getting larger and larger! I can't seem to make it around to everyone anymore!

    Have a fabulous day!

  15. Thanks guys! I went to class lastnight and it was amazing to see what caught each person's eye. Most everyone took pictures of store fronts and buildings. One girl took a photo of a group of us standing by taking a window... we were reflected in it. I loved that ideal.

  16. this looks like you are having a great time and your photograph compositions are very nice. I can see why the photo lab staff member made that remark. What a nice compliment!

The store window reflection photo reminds me of a photo I took once of a little boy walking with his dad, holding his dad's hand. When I was ready to print it, I found that the part I really liked was the shadow of the boy and his dad, extended on the sidewalk in front of them. I cropped the little boy's feet and his shadow. that told enough of the story.

Can't wait to see what's next. You are full of creative inspiration!

  18. Your photos are so great! I love the first one and the one of the cow. What kind of camera did you get? I want a new camera and I'm trying to decide between Nikon and Canon.

    Best wishes :)
