Joni Webb is one of Houston's finest . . . Her signature style will always include seagrass, linen , slipcovers and French antiques.
Joni even knows how to do a "Blue " room with taste and style!

Her generous spirit has made her well-known in this blog world of ours and I know she does not need a introduction, but you can find her at http://cotedetexas.blogspot.com/ and also at http://www.skirtedroundtable.blogspot.com/

So here's to you Joan, "Queen of Blogworld" We love you gf . . .

Pet Peeve ~ The Line Up

I mean really, I can not even believe this one . . . Who would do this to a very lovely mantel ? I love pottery, but when it is lined up like that, it is just a eye sore. And what about all that open space above the line up . . .

Could they find anything smaller to put on that mantel??? I just don't get it, do you?

Beautiful room, but would you agree that the art is the "only" thing needed above the mantel?

This looks like a great space, but I am almost certain we have a line up on the mantel . . . What's your thoughts on the line up?

A Sweet Obsession

I believe with all my heart that , if you listen, a house will tell you just what it needs . . .
So take time with your home, pay attention . . . Nature does not hurry , yet everything is accomplished.

A designer is a dreamer. He/She thinks about the space as a "living space", one that will forever be evolving.

It is a "Sweet Obsession" . . .

Can anyone tell me who's rooms we are enjoying today?

More Inspiration For Brenda

Mostly, a white soothing dream, but just a touch of green.
Green as a focal . . .

and again . . .

This one just makes me want to trash my own bedroom and start over! I love this room so much, there is only one thing to change, IMHO; I would love to see wood floors in here. So tell me Ms. Brenda, are you feeling any better?

A Cure for Brenda

My good friend Brenda requested a few photos of "main rooms" decorated in my favorite hue "Green". I wanted to start with this one to show that not everything needs to be green. The red in the chairs and the dark floors really add to the green walls.
Brenda claims to be suffering from a "mental block" and said she could only visualize earth tones or . . . BLUE ! I had to do what I could to cure this terrible disease and I am praying it is not spreading . This green is so cool it has almost a blue affect on me . . . so I just knew Brenda would love it.

I much prefer this tone of green, but I don't know that I would have done everything in the same color. . . what do you guys think?

Last , but not least, (well, maybe it is least . . . ) my own living room. I had to put this one in for good measure. ha So , there you go Ms. Brenda, study these photos, drink two glasses of wine and take a long bubble bath followed by a long nap . . . You'll join the other side soon.

Blue and Green

Most people love the color blue . . . but for me , it has to be part of the blue and green combo. I think that comes from the blue sky and green earth that I love so much.
I always try to use blue whenever I have something to design outdoors. And with that touch of yellow in the flowers . . . pure heaven.

Without the green striped chairs, I would not like this room at all. But somehow with the crisp green it really works. Two cool colors together . . . who knew.

Yes, I take a lot of teasing about my dislike of blue. People just can not understand it. My daughter tries to get me something blue every year for Christmas . . . she is mean like that. Joni, from Cote De Texas once reminded me that my favorite color, "Green" was just blue with a bit of yellow in it . . . Is there a color that you too dislike, what is it?
