A Cure for Brenda

My good friend Brenda requested a few photos of "main rooms" decorated in my favorite hue "Green". I wanted to start with this one to show that not everything needs to be green. The red in the chairs and the dark floors really add to the green walls.
Brenda claims to be suffering from a "mental block" and said she could only visualize earth tones or . . . BLUE ! I had to do what I could to cure this terrible disease and I am praying it is not spreading . This green is so cool it has almost a blue affect on me . . . so I just knew Brenda would love it.

I much prefer this tone of green, but I don't know that I would have done everything in the same color. . . what do you guys think?

Last , but not least, (well, maybe it is least . . . ) my own living room. I had to put this one in for good measure. ha So , there you go Ms. Brenda, study these photos, drink two glasses of wine and take a long bubble bath followed by a long nap . . . You'll join the other side soon.

  1. What a coincidence that we have the same living room on our blogs today - I had never seen this living room before this week, and when I saw the picture it really resonated with me.

I also found that green kitchen picture earlier this week. I think it is a beautiful kitchen!

  2. Love all of these. Especially the last room! It's just so homey in there. I could curl up with a good book and a cup of tea easily. What is it with all the blue lately? I'm even using it more. Gasp! In this business, sometimes, you just have to honor what the client wants!!!! I feel so compromised!

  14. Gorgeous green rooms, Vicky. I really like that shade, kinda in b/w apple and avocado, but maybe I would add a little aqua to it. Your home is beautiful...Christine

  15. Answering your question about the totaly green room, I would have done the curtains and the cushions in the white chairs in another colour that matches with the green!

  18. I love the picture on the top, the color of the wood floors is stunning against the walls, a perfect contrast. The kitchen is a similiar shade to my flower room and our garden room. It is so soothing.
    Fantastic images.

  19. Vicky, thank you soooo much! Green is serene; no argument from me girl. The examples that you've shown here are superb, particularly the last one.

For additional inspiration I even popped over to Things That Inspire and The Paris House to search out 'some green' on my own; so you see I sincerely want to be cured. :) Appreciating your efforts.....HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
    Many hugs -Brenda-
