Get to know Mr. Maya

Christopher Maya's designs hold timeless appeal. His work is tailored and historically referenced, with understated elegance.
I love how the art pops in this room, creating a very interesting focal for the space.

He is noted for his ability to create an integrated, polished look while maintaining a comfortable , warm and very livable environment.

This Louis Vuitton Bedroom designed by Maya is reported to have cost more than $100,000 ! I admit I would find that hard to shallow... What do you think?

  2. Yeah, $100,000 is a bit much for me, too and it really doesn't look all that special. However, I do like the livingroom but again I think I would prefer a different coffee table with a bit more weight. But I am not a designer - what do I know? ~ Robyn

  3. Robyn, I would have to agree that the table does seem a bit lost in the space. Great eye...

  5. Oh, I'm happy you are gonna join the party on Wed! That's great...and Mr. Linky is VERY easy, I promise you can do it. All you do is copy the post url that you are going to share for the party & copy it in the box that you'll see. If you can't figure it out, I'll help, but I bet you can. There are 2 boxes with Mr. Linky. One box has your name that you want displayed & the other has the post url that you are sharing. You'll get it!

  7. Hi,

I like the living room with the piano. I don't understand the $100,000 room unless it includes the cost of building the whole room LOL...

  8. Now the living room with the ottoman by the piano is really to my liking, but the $100,000 bed is way out of line for me. Great post. Hugs, Marty

  9. The serene colors in the middle picture are beautiful & I can imagine a family living in the room.

IMHO, I don't understand the appeal of spending $100,000 to design and furnish a room. I makes no sense to me. ♥ Diane

  12. Wow, do you know how much furniture that would buy at A Classy Flea?! LOL I keep thinking $100,000 would pay for half a house...and a nice house, in many cities. But, $100,000 is like $1,000 to some folks...so I say, if you got it and you worked and earned it, spend it however you want! :-)
