Boston designer Charles Spada is one of my favorites. Simplicity and subtlety are important to the aesthetic of his work, he is no fan of cold, sterile environments and neither am I. He believes that Zen-like surrounding are for Buddhist monks , not for people who want to be nurtured visually and emotionally~ by their homes.

It all looks so crisp, refreshing and at the same time...so serene...would be very easy to live in his home! Susan
ReplyDeleteI agree, his style is very soothing. But it's cleverly detailed, and that's what makes it work so well.
ReplyDelete'Charles' is also one of my favourite Designers. As "columnist' notes; it is the details that make it work. I also feel that his use of gold tones gives a warm yet lavish appeal.
ReplyDeleteWell said mrsben ! So glad that you found me!
ReplyDeleteVicky, beautiful! Just beautiful! I have always admired art matted like this, take the picasso prints above my fireplace, for example! Then layered, or hung to the floor - divine! I have that look in my bedroom too! :) These are beautiful photos, thank you for the introduction!
ReplyDeleteExquisite.And I adore that chaise...Ann
ReplyDeleteI really love his use of the pictures placed almost all the way to the floor. It's unusual and unexpected, but it works beautifully here. Vanna
