Get to know Ms. Boyd

Eileen Kathryn Boyd is one of New York's most influential designers. Her eclectic style and impeccable taste leaves each of her projects undeniably brilliant.
No one is as well-versed in the art of color as Ms. Boyd. She is known for drawing entire projects inspiration from fashion runways and emulating them on her showroom floor.

When she is working with a client she sees their space as a unique color story waiting to be expressed ... What is your color story?

  1. Thank you for sharing. My color story has had a variety of chapters over the years. I was very much into blue for the first part of my maried life. It was developed and nurtured by my grandmother. Her home was filled with blueness. Then it was the pastelness of the 80"s That was during my victorian mood. For the 90's I was more netural and toned down. Now, I am back to color - especially red. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

  3. My story is green! While growing up our home was the very typical orange, brown, avocado green and harvest gold. But my room was always green. My walls were a rich olive or avocado green for many years. The more warmish greens. From the 1990's the greens turned to the cooler side. My kitchen was always a sagey or mossy green. My furnishings, too. Now I am favoring the apple greens and springy greens or even artichoke green. ~ Robyn

  5. you know i do love color, but yet im so color phobic, i feel a need to use it in small doses, i think its a fear of commitment. However, looking at these pictures it doesnt seem so scarey, perhaps its because the backdrop is neutral. Our living room is so neutral its sad, mossy green sofa, gold curtains and everything else is cream, which i love but i do need to step out and add some life to this room, perhaps one day i will fight the color phobia. Great post as always
