Is it because it is "Springtime" that I am having a love affair with color? Inside or outside, I am seeing it everywhere and find myself studying it ...
There is just something about a safe and traditional space with a unexpected punch of color ...
Suddenly you have something new and fresh with just a simple shot of pure unfiltered COLOR. Are you too having a Springtime love affair ?
What perfect photos you chose to post. They are all crisp, colorful and very inspiring!! My daughter's bathroom is that yummy pink and sometimes I wonder why we were so bold, but I love it in your photo! Great post and happy spring!!
Fabulous inspiration! I DO get "itchy" this time of year for bursts of color inside and I get really "itchy" to see it outside in my garden! Happy Spring! ;-D
IM HERE!! IM HERE!! g/f I was blogging a bit last night but tiredness set in and i didnt get to visit everyone. COLOR....mmm i have been so confused about color for some years now, and you are right, since spring is trying to arrive i have been craving a bit of color but still soft, yet punchy but not too vibrant colors...lol did that even make sense? i know what i mean. The two rooms you posted are perfect examples, they have color but soft, pretty but yet just a tad punchy, exactly the look i could live with. Once again another fantastic post. hugs janet
You hit it on the head Brenda...start pushing blue at me and it is so on!! I like to wear it, but keep it away from my rooms, mine and the ones I work on. My mom always laughs when I go into a blue room because she know how I am feeling inside. Just for spite my daughter got me a blue pot for my kitchen...I don't know why I am this way, but I am. Thanks for being a good sport. It is so hard to joke on this silly thing... one can not see the eyes and the big grin!
The funny thing is that the one I'm really drawn to is probably the last one I would do myself. It's the first one. I really like it. But could I be so bold?! I only wish!! I also like the third. Love your color posts. encore! Have a nice day,-susan
p.s. how do you provide a response to people. I don't know how . . . perhaps you're using another software?
I hear ya Vicky! You are with blue like I am with pink. Just find those who like pink well at least though who "I" know, have a tendency to overdose on it...grin. Another color is a 'mustard yellow with green undertones', though I do like yellow and green oh Lord how I hate it.
HAVE A SUPER DAY! You do have one of the best Decor blogs, just wish more bloggers new about it. Hugs, hugs YOUR FRIEND -Brenda-
I love good color! The last picture stays beside me on my inspiration board. My kitchen is the same apple green and it makes me smile every morning while getting my coffee! Thanks for the inspiration! ~Misti
oh my gosh, im about as ditzey as they come, i had seen the picture of this lovely looking woman and her two sweet furbabies and thought it was a picture from a magazine. It is really nice to put a face to the name. Thanks for sharing. hugs janet
Brenda, I don't like the mustard yellow either, but I love pink. Thanks for the very sweet comment about my blog. I love getting everyone input, it's why I continue. Thanks to all!
Since we're not painting the walls we did bring in some color. I purchased some faux flower arrangements for our gathering room. We also purchase a very beautiful bedding set. I love springtime.
Vicky, I am not a blue fan either as far as wall color goes and most decorating. I love these rooms you chose and the colors. The green house....wonder where that is? I love that pink chair! Lots of fun!
* GF, just left you a semi-long message... can't tell if it got "eaten" by the computer or not... will wait a bit & re-write if it doesn't come up here soon... gonna go look at your LATEST posting now!!! XOXOXO, Linda *
Yeeehawww...Girl, this is a post after my own (colorful) heart! hehe!!!
Ohhh, that first photo just makes me sing! I love all of the bright color...that shade of green on the house, the bright reddish orange door and the yellow blooms of the tree shooting out in front of the photo...gorgeous!!! Such beautiful photos!!! I have really had a "thing" for all the pretty shades of light green here lately...maybe it's my yearning for Spring? I love the last photo with the lt. green walls and accents of salmon! Hmmm...is salmon a color shade? hehe!!! Beautiful!!!
Always!
